Symbol III (Spell)
As Symbol I, except it allows the following effects:
- Symbol of Stunning (Enchantment) Mind-Affecting
- Affected creatures are stunned for 1d6 rounds, Will negates. Material component cost: 5,000 gp.
- Symbol of Weakness (Necromancy)
- Affected creatures suffer 3d6 Strength damage, Fort negates. Unlike other symbols, this cannot affect the same creature twice, even if that creature exits and reenters the area. A permanent symbol of weakness can affect the same creature, to a maximum of once per day. Material component cost: 5,000 gp.
- Symbol of Flame (Evocation)
- All creatures within 60 ft suffer 10d6 fire damage, and must pass a Reflex saving throw to avoid bursting into flames. If they catch fire, they burn for 2d8 damage per round. The creature can attempt to put out the flames once per round as a free action by passing a Reflex save of the spell's DC. Each time the creature suffers 10d6 fire damage from this spell, the flames are increased by 2d8. Thus, if affected 5 times, the creature burns for 10d8 per round. The flames cannot be extinguished by smothering or immersion in water, but they are magical and can be dispelled. Material component cost: 5,000 gp.
